Weeks 1 and 2 are measurement, drawings and material selection. Nothing visible happens, and that is correct — every day spent on the drawing saves two on site.
Weeks 3 and 4 are civil and plumbing. Walls come down, lines are laid and pressure tested, and waterproofing is applied and flood-tested. Curing time here cannot be shortened.
Weeks 5 and 6 are electrical conduiting and the ceiling grid. This is when your switch layout is frozen. Changing a socket position after this point means breaking finished plaster.
Weeks 7 to 9 run in parallel: flooring and painting on site while carpentry is manufactured in the workshop. This overlap is where in-house manufacturing saves real time.
Weeks 10 and 11 are installation — kitchen, wardrobes, panelling, doors. Week 12 is fitting, lighting, snagging and deep cleaning.
Projects usually slip for three reasons: late material selection by the client, a change of mind after conduiting, and stone or counter delivery. Two of those three are within your control.
